There are numerous reliable, ethical suppliers and companies who can provide quality Essential Oils. We have chosen E3 as our primary supplier due to the purity and enclosed directions for the consumer.
Essential oils are 70-100 times more intense than the plant source. It is vital that care be taken. DO NOT directly apply concentrated ESSENTIAL OIL to the skin. (with rare exception such as Lavender). See dilution below... TOPICAL APPLICATION... Essential Oils must be blended with a carrier oil (nut, vegetable, Jojoba, etc) in a 1-3% dilution. Please seek reliable information concerning the use and application of Essential Oils prior to use. For smaller areas of topical application, up to a 5% concentration may be used.

1% = a total of 5 - 6 drops of Essential Oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil
2% = a total of 10 - 12 drops of Essential Oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil
to topically treat isolated regions or smaller areas of the body, i.e. shoulder, back, legs, abdomen
3% = a total of 15 - 18 drops of Essential Oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil
5% = 20 - 22 drops of Essential Oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil
An ounce of carrier oil is equal to 30 milliliters (ml) or 2 Tablespoons INHALING DIRECTIONS... Essential Oils may be inhaled directly from a bottle of concentrated oil, place a drop on tissue or the end of a cotton swab or cotton ball. Or use with a diffuser.
Aromatherapy Information The use of Essential Oils can be traced to ancient times, many thousands of years ago. We must remember that most medicine was obtained from plant life until the past 100-150 years. Many plants around the world are still used for their medical properties. Essentail Oils are derived from a portion of a plant. These Oils are extremely concentrated and may be 70-100 times more potent than the dried plant they come from. Essential Oils have certainly been used in the perfumery industry, but I encourage you to consider Oils based on their therpeutic properties for the effect on the body and/or for emotional effects.
